Time Management

Keep your focus Ladies!

Today it was great to be able to spend time planning out the rest of our term.  Remember that good time management starts with YOU!

Time management  starts with identifying what needs to be done and then allocating set time to complete those tasks.

Here are some tips that might help you in your time management skill development:

  • Carry a schedule to help you stay on task
  • Have a to do list of things that you need to complete
  • Prioritise you to do list from most urgent to least urgent
  • Schedule some "down time" to ensure that you get breaks - these can help refresh and re-energise you
  • Ensure that when you have allocated your time to work - you are not disturbed!
  • Block out distractions like Facebook and other types of social media
Get started and plan your term 3 work now!

Visit by Rotorua Mayor, Stevie Chadwick

This Wednesday, 7th September 2016, Rotorua's Mayor, Stevie Chadwick, is coming to talk to the whole junior school. This will be through periods 1 & 2, in the PAC. Start thinking about some questions you would like to ask her. Your questions could be around the way local government works, or they could be specific questions about things that the Rotorua Lakes Council is doing in Rotorua. For example, you might be concerned about the provision of things for young people to do in town, you might be concerned with how much the Council has spent on things like the 'green corridor', you might be wondering what is happening with the library, or maybe you think the Council should upgrade the Aquatic Centre. Think of things that are of concern to you and come up with some questions to get the Mayor thinking!
